Homemade dip

According to the American Institute for Cancer Research:

  • Dips from markets are usually high in fat, calories and sodium

  • Commercial dips are low in health-protective phytochemicals

  • Homemade dips can help in maintaining weight

  • Homemade dips can be nutritious and cancer protective

With easy homemade dip recipes, you can create fresh, low fat, vegetable-based dips that are rich in flavor and healthier too. In fact, if you are a lover of herbs, you can prepare tasty herb dips.

Tasty Dips temptations

Unlike chutneys, sauces and cheese that are typically applied or sprinkled onto food, a dip as a sauce literally means dipping food items into the dip sauce. All it needs is creative use of ingredients. Dips are easy to make, quick to prepare and usually a hot favorite with all. Dips can be prepared and stored in the refrigerator - ideal for whipping up a tasty snack for hungry kids and unexpected visitors at home.
